Short-term Future:

  • CMIT v. 2.1.4 LFM + TIE-GCM v. 1.94.1
  • CMIT v. 2.2.x LFM + TIE-GCM v. 1.94.1 using PNMPI InterComm with full 3d domain decomposition in the magnetosphere

  • Additional testing & development of LTR: the three-way coupling with the Rice Convection Model (RCM)

Longer-term Future (~5 years):

  • Add one-way coupled radiation belt model and SEP cutoff calculation
  • Incorporation of plasmasphere module into ionospheric calculation
  • Replace TIE-GCM with TIME-GCM + ECMWF lower boundary (30 km)
  • Incorporate data-assimilation ionosphere model initialization scheme
